We Cry for Peace (WCFP)
The U.S. decision to invade and occupy Iraq comes with a horrific price tag: deaths of an
estimated 100,000 Iraqis and more than 4,200 occupation troops and military personnel.
The numbers rise each day not to mention the hundreds of thousands that have been
physically wounded or traumatized by chronic violence. This path of war cannot lead to
victory. There are no winners, and there is no military solution. In spite of this, the U.S.
continues to embrace military rather than diplomatic approaches. An immediate end to
this war is required to stop the carnage and loss of human life. The United States cannot
afford to ignore our voices and sentiments and the voices of the many other countries
that oppose the occupation of our US troops. We need to rebuild, make a change, and
start today!

Bring the troops home....
We respectfully request that the President and the United States Congress bring the
US troops home. It is time to take care of the needs of our solders, their families,
and our Country. It is time to repair, reconstruct, address and fund critical human
needs here at home.
human loss of life......
The war has created a humanitarian catastrophe, with elements that reach far beyond
the war. With each day and each life lost, it becomes more apparent that there is no
military solution to our problems in Iraq. A comprehensive political solution is
essential for peace. It is time to bring ALL U.S. troops home
